STATEMENT
Gabrielle Faust seeks to explore humanity and its interplay within society while capturing profound moments in the human experience through her modern expressionistic acrylic and mixed media artistic creations. Art for Faust is not only a contribution to the beauty of the world but is intended to create a dialogue through her vivid and intense visual storytelling.
BIOGRAPHY
Gabrielle Faust has pursued her passion for art in a variety of medias since the age of seven, first studying under the tutelage of her father, artist. Luke Faust with additional classes at the Dougherty Arts Center in Austin, Texas. She later completed her Associates of Visual Communication Design at Austin Community College with a focus on fine art and graphic design in 2000. Throughout the years she has exhibited her work, primarily in her primary focus of acrylic painting at a variety of galleries in Austin and Houston as she continued to develop her unique and personal expressionistic style utilizing bold, vivid colors with a graphic outline element. Her illustrations have appeared in various magazines and donned the covers of books, including her own published works. Currently, Faust is working on her latest series of paintings entitled “The Artist and The Critic” which pair a representation of a creative and their opposing critic in fields such as art, music, fashion, culinary, and literary.
